DENTAL CLINIC OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CHILE
LIBRARY

Well to start this blog, I would like to comment a little about the career I study, which is dentistry.

The curriculum is quite extensive, since, as future dental surgeons, we must be trained in different areas, such as the humanistic and scientific areas. The workload is quite heavy, because most of the day you have to be at the university and when you get home you have to study for the different subjects. The degree has a formal duration of six years but on average people take about eight years.

The facilities that the faculty provides us are varied but deficient in my opinion, since, for example, they do not lend materials for clinical or preclinical activities and this is a difficulty because there are low-income people who cannot buy everything that is required. Another facility is that they lend books and any student can also attend the clinic for free.

In terms of uses of technology, I think that the university has been left behind because there are several old things, such as the speakers in the auditoriums or the chairs in the clinic.

Finally, the teaching methods are very varied since there is academic freedom, so the methodologies of the classes will depend a lot on the teacher and the class, but in general the teachers are willing to help to understand new things. that we are taught every day.

  1. Hello Zamir! I really liked your blog, I agree with what you said and I also found that the best thing was the part that you can get treatment at the clinic for free!!!
